Photographer’s Note

There are a lot of things I like and dislike about this picture, I would like to know what you guys think.
This is a picture of the Point Judith lighthouse taken in Narragansett, Rhode Island.
Some facts: Station established in 1810; Present lighthouse built in 1857; Automated in 1954.
Construction material: brownstone. Height 51 ft, height of focal plane 65 ft. Characteristic: White light, 5 seconds on, 2 sec off, 2 sec on, 2 sec off...
Active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation.
Other buildings still standing: 1917 oil house, 1923 fog signal building, 1939 radio beacon building.

Point Judith, part of the town of Narragansett, extends more than a mile from the Rhode Island coast, marking the entrance to the Narragansett Bay to the north and Block Island Sound to the south. Several Indian tribes -- predominately the Narragansetts -- lived in the area when English settlers arrived.
The passage past Point Judith was a dangerous one, with a treacherous ledge to the west and frequent fog in the area. A day beacon at Point Judith dated back to before the American Revolution.
The origin of Point Judith's name is disputed. Some say it was after the wife or mother-in-law of merchant John Hull, others say it was named for the Tribe of Judah in the Bible. The most colorful explanation concerns a Nantucket sea captain, lost in the fog off the point. The captain's daughter shouted that she spotted land. The captain, unable to discern anything in the fog, exhorted his daughter to "P'int, Judy, p'int!"

I tried to have a faded effect, almost like a painting, something that makes it look like a dream. Too bad there is some noise there.
I hope you like it.
