Photographer’s Note
Panorama picture from the Taiwand wall. From here you can (almost) see 3 of the 4 beaches in the Railay area. To the left is the Tonsai beach that you could se in my previous photo, closest is Railey west and behind Railey West you can just make out parts of Railey east.
Make sure you click the image for the large version of this photo.

What a spectacular view of this sweeping panorama Mattias....is this where you have been hiding for last month?:-)There are many points of interest as we scroll from side to side which makes this a good candidate for the large panorama format.
Were you rock-climbing this cliff with safety ropes when you took this picture and if so,where the cliffs even higher than those we see behind the beach?

I'm surprised this hasn't attracted more attention. I think it's really well composed and a simply beautiful subject. Great colours, and I feel warmer just looking at it!
Tech' wise, I think it needs sharpening a bit but otherwise great.

This is a fabulous view Mattias. Welcome back to Sweden and TE.
The azure water is beautiful, the cliffs are magnificient and the boats add a lot of life to the picture. The close cliffs framing the picture are nice for reference but it's a little disturbing that they're so dark, there's nothing to do about that though I guess (you can't have sun shining in all directions at the same time). Great shot, I'm looking forward to seeing more from your vacation.

What an eye catching and awe inspiring pan. I can only imagine how much more of a rush it must have been, actually being there. The only thing that is a draw back in my opinion is the cliff with ropes on the left. In composition terms, it is a barrier that I have to overcome just to get into the photo. If that was cropped out, you would have a wonderful invitation to enter the picture and the mountain on the right would help maintain balance, location and provide reference. Because of its darkness (the mountain on the right) I don’t spend much time lingering there and return to the highlights in the main scene and the detail there. Excellent choices in the field to capture the view in front of you and its scope. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Wow. Great panorama. I also like the fact that you have the shot framed with the clifs filhouetted on both ends, and having the large version is great because you can see the details of the beaches.
Could you please tell me how when posting you got the photo to link to a larger version. I only thought we could post one photo with a limit of 800 pixels on the longest end and total size of 200k, so was amazed to see that I could click on this photo and get a larger version.
Regards,
Tom
