Photographer’s Note
The Gnifetti hut at altitude 3611m is commonly used as a one to three day pitstop before making an attempt to climb Monte Rosa (4633m). Getting accustomed to the altitude is crucial for a succesful climb, however the sensitivity to high altitude varies from person to person; it is not just a question of being in good shape.
You might recognise the climber from my upload from yesterday 'Walk the Clouds'. This picture is my favourite from this trip, I hope you will enjoy it too.

Snow as usual a bit whited out, but this is a terrific pov. I think the colours are probably pretty natural. Great the way the eye is led from the climber to the hut. Very well taken and thanks for the great notes.

Hello Fiona,
A weel composed photo with the three diagonal areas: snow, rock and background. The climber is well-positionned and adds depth to the composition. Did you make it to Monte Rosa the next day?
Have a nice Easter week-end.

Hi Fiona,
for me, the excessively white snow works very well against the beautiful mountain background, with the hut itself looking almost unrealistic, like something pasted on those rocks...
Maybe it's the "unreal" feeling one gets when seeing this hut after a long climb up...
Anyway, excellent!
Thanks for sharing
Vlad
