Here in HBC Athens Square, the Parthenon was made of snow to celebrate the upcoming Athens 2004 Olympic Games. The Parthenon is a World Heritage site and is also known as the logo for UNESCO. The impressive relief carvings of the deities of Ancient Greece on the pediment certainly embody the finest quality in Ancient Greek art. We also reconstruct the statue of the goddess Athena, protector of Athens who once stood inside this magnificent temple. The Parthenon, the most perfect Doric temple, is one of the most influential buildings in the history of architecture.
I tried eliminate the buildings on either side, but it was not possible, because I wanted the building in its full glory.
The people in the foreground show the scale, but I can tell you it stood 14 metres in height and 20 metres width and 26 metres in length.
I have just cropped the sides a bit to lessen the distraction of the buildings on either side.

Another fascinating glimpse into Japan, well done! If I were you I'd be tempted to make them into a Travelogue or a Theme. My only suggestion is a little CW rotation to straighten it up. Nice shot and a good note too :-D

Nice shot Daniel, strange to see the varied fruits of human endeavour, and so short-lived...Agree with Adrian about the slight rotation, you could also try cropping out the people in the foreground, I think the scale would still be apparent.

La présence des spectateurs permet d'évaluer l'échelle de la sculpture, c'est grandiose !
Je suis d'accord avec Adrian pour redresser l'image.
The presence of the spectators makes it possible to evaluate the scale of the sculpture, it's great! I agree with Adrian for a little rotation of the picture.

This is unbelieveable! The size of this ice sculpture is huge! I can't even begin to imagine how many people, and the hours that were spent creating this masterpiece.
In regards to the other critiques, and one of you own, I've done a workshop. Have a look...

Terrific to see this and admire the craftmanship and creativity, temporary but that's part of the fascination.
