Photographer’s Note

Those archs and the houses they support have more than 500 hundred years .Some times in winter when rains to much and the barrages of the river have to open and free waters this area stays all over under water till first floor.In our days this does not happen so often because the river is more controlled, but it happens when it rains too too much.

I think this shot is well executed - I like the way its composed with it being framed but not dominated by the first arch and positioning the end of arcade on the intersection of thirds. Its been shot at the right of day too with the shafts of light coming in - they also bring out the texture of the stone well on the columns.

Good composition, Antonio. I like the perspective and the colours of the pillars. The texture of the stone floor slabs, in the foreground, is very good. Very well framed.

Excellent exposuring and an interesting subject Antonio. The repetitive elements contributes to an attractive composition, the beams of sunlight together with the man and his (?) bike are completing additions. Great job!

Gostei muito desta foto.As cores o enquadramento, a iluminação, está tudo no ponto. Curiosa a parecença desta rua e os seus arcos com as ruas na cidade de Santiago de Compostela.Parabéns António
