I really like the strong colors here and the effect of the wide angle lens. I'm guessing you were closer to the 20 mm on this one? Very nice.

The sky is just amazing.

Great shot! The sky is so blue, and the lines are so clear. This picture has a dynamic quality brought about by your angle and the splashy colors.
(BTW, thanks for all your critiques of my picture. Thank a lot...)

C'est la composition du ciel qui donne à cette image son attrait. Les blancs ne sont pas surexposés.
Cependant il fallait reculer un peu plus pour éviter de couper l'arrière du bateau.
It is the composition of the sky which gives to this image its attraction. The whites are not over-exposed. However it was necessary to move back a little more to avoid cutting the back of the ship.

What a beautiful shot it just works, I like the interaction between the colours even the sea is right, another title springs to mind "Paradise Found".
Polarizer has made this a stunning shot... most enjoyable Bravo.

Very picture Hisashi. The blue is extreme in this shot, but beautiful picture. Were you sailing on this marvellous boat?
By the way what kind of films were you using?

Wonderful sky, wonderful widelens distortion. Amazing shot.
smael (2878) 2004-02-14 7:02
Great colors, and like many have said... well used wide-angleeffect! I'm at my fathers place right now, and on his monitor it looks a bit oversharpened (or jpg-compressed). Especially in the lines of the boat. But still.... very good!

As a work of art, this picture is far too busy with the rear end completely cluttered with engines, zodiac winches, an obscure flotilla of additional white sterns trailing off,,,but as a technical tribute to the Canon EOS 5 and the award winning 20-35 L series lens...it hits all marks.
