Lijiang is a UNESCO world heritage listed town, in Yunnan province, of south west China. It is criss - crossed with these attractive canals. It is also cold in January. (-7c in the morning).

An interesting and quite vivid scene from this old town, Chris. The bend of the canal going between the colorful archi details makes for a good compositional element, and it is also nice to have some people included as the liven up the view quite a bit.

You placed the canal well in your composition; all the curved lines in the foreground work well as lead-ins. The people provide more colour.

The bright colours in this shot really jump out at me! I also like the stream or canal curving around and bringing the viewer into the scene. Good to include people as well to humanize and give context. Great work!

Hi Chris, I like the point of view. The stone walls and the river creates a lot of texture. I am glad you included the curve of the river. That creates depth. The colors area bit over exposed. though. Thanks for sharing, Gabriel
