Photographer’s Note
The Bardo Museum is situated in an old palace just outside Tunis. The Bardo area is also home to a university. The museum focuses mainly on ancient roman culture but has a few rooms with older and newer stuff as well (cf. the fountain I have posted a picture of). There are very many well preserved beautiful mosaics, this is the detail of one from Althiburos. More mosaics will come.
I will post a large version as well so that you can appreciate the craftmanship here. I cropped the picture this way to be able to have a large post.

I love mosaics, both ancient and modern. They are another reason to travel around the Mediterranean Sea. You have chosen a nice one that makes me think we are not much different from the Romans of 2,000 years ago.
