Photographer’s Note
Pokhara is a popular tourist town in central Nepal servicing the Annapurna circuot for mountaineers. Taken from Sarankot lookong over tranquil Lake Fewa. The towm of Pokhara can be seen at left in the hazy distance. The Himalayas are directly behind where this was shot.

Hi Chris,
My purpose in life, is travel in the Orient, as much as you have done! Excellent POV from above, which I allways apreciate, with wonderful contrasts, dephness and nice layers in the back. Interesting details and I love to see this passway in foreground desapearing in there.
TFS,

Hi Chris. Nice how the foreground is so saturated and contrasted and the strength of the image recedes into the distance. I love the strong silhouette of the tree. Great pov and depth and a beautiful view.

Good framing for this landscape photo, Chris. The tree and dropping rock at the lookout have been well used to open up the view across the wide scenery in a good way. Nice colors but it looks a bit grainy on the monitor of the laptop with which I'm traveling. Greetings from Tokyo.

Hi Chris,
The foreground colours are superb, the composition excellent, little bit noise above the lake, maybe through the misty day!
I like the quiet environment.
Have a nice weekend my friend,
John.

Hi Chris,
What an amazing view. You must have felt like an eagle looking down for this shot. I like the rich brown and green tones of the foreground conrasted with the subtler hues below. There is much for the eye to absorb. Great DOF. Well done.

Outstanding composition! I like the way this scene builds from right to left, getting progressively farther away as the slope sweeps down to the town and the lake. Very well balanced and beautiful!

Hi Chris - at first I was going to rant about this being a mirror image, because I have a similar shot taken from the opposite hillside (with the same bloody haze) but I realised my mistake after reading the note, wonderful panorama.

Hi Chris. Your high POV gives us depth that goes on for days. The scan isn't bad although a burn tool across the top could help. I don't mind the way you utilized the foreground tree. Good shot Chris.

Hi Chris,
This is an amazing POV, where you capture the place with a nice perspective!
It is interesting to note the warm colours in the front fading to blueish/green in the hazy background!
Very pleasing composition!

It's liked looking from the edge of a cliff. A feeling of a cliff edge here Chris, and hard to judge the size of things like the path. But this would be the best vantage point; great view of the rural countryside below and the simmering lake.

spectaculaire point de vue. Le premier plan au couleurs chaudes contraste à merveille avec l'arrière plan. La composition est maîtrisée et superbe.

Congratulations Chris for an excellent shot. What a beautiful image. The path on the right seems right out of Mackennas Gold :)
