This is the view of downtown from along a Buffalo Bayou, which runs through town and played a key role in the settling of Houston. The majority of these buildings are owned by oil companies, another thing that helped settle Houston. I guess this is a heritage shot.

Nice shot, I love the opposition of nature and hightech architechture. The top branch really makes the frame balanced.

One thing is anoyes me though, it seems slanted to the right(the small tree and the buildings are not vertical)

I like how everything in this shot is so clean and neat. It creates a kind of futuristic look as seen in some utopian visions of the future. The gleaming buildings and the smooth grass so well manicured here. The distance of the buildings from one another creates a sense of airiness and pleasantness. And then the lone tree without leaves creates an contrast to all of that. Like maybe things aren't so great. As for the image. It seems like it was a little out of focus and then over sharpened. But the saturation of the sky and grass and buildings is great and the composition is very well photographed, as well.
