Photographer’s Note

Yesterday, the clocks went forward...so the days are getting longer....YIPEEE!

We should hopefully see some more sunshine as we have done over the past few days...very good for the soul...

You can see the blossom in the trees, so they should be in full bloom soon...

This was taken in the highfields area of Leicester. It is very picturesque in this little alley...I have added a filter to add some warmth...

hi kajal, gorgeous, i love it - simply a mixture of different reds and pinks from time to time decorated with tiny green details;
this is really so realistic, yet so artistic!

thanks for sharing this really beautiful shot. the composition is really good, and the mood it evokes is wonderful too. i wish i was there. it's so hot here in calcutta already, and it's supposed to be spring. i wonder what will happen in the height of summer.
you know, i was wondering if you really needed the warming filter. i mean, the houses are red, the woman is wearing a red coat... i guess sticking to the original colour wouldn't have been too bad.
great picture though.

Palette of reds? Why not?

It's a great composition - and it reminds me a little of the steps you see in Montmartre (!).
I like the mood of this picture but to me it has a look of autumn rather than spring because of the warm tones.
Be nice to have a series of these taken in all 4 seasons.....

Good angle with the cobblestone pathway, a single lamp, shedded trees, the lonely girl, and the colors... Good follow-up to your B&W picture of two women walking in this same alley.

This is one of your best I reckon. Nice to see the place as well as the person in your photo. Wish the woman was showing her face but that's her fault not yours! Is this Granby Avenue?
