Photographer’s Note
Hey, remember the good old days when you saved up your pocketmoney to buy sweets. Rows and rows of jars of bright coloured sweets and I remember the shopkeeper weighs or counts them and pops them into a paper bag....you didn't care whether they were bad for you at all.
Luckily my needs are catered for as retro sweets are in fashion. I walk past this traditional sweet shop "Ye olde sweet shop" quite regularly in the city centre and it makes me feel like a kid again looking at those sweets..
As it was a sunny day, I caught a reflection of part of St Martin's Square, a popular shopping area which has lots of independent small shops.
The sweets featured are:
Cherry Lips - jelly-like cherry-flavoured lips
Fairy Satins - triangle shaped coloured boiled sweets filled with fuit flavoured sherbert
Sour Apples - as the name suggests, sour apple-flavoured boiled sweets
