Photographer’s Note
Remains of an old ranch. Since years New Mexico suffers under drought and the wells have to go deeper and deeper. Maybe thats one of the reasons why this ranch could not survive anymore. the picture was taken in the late afternoon hours.

This shot speaks of a bygone era - desolation and loneliness. I like the colour of the sky against the desolate land. Quite moving to me. It is sad when one thinks of the people that must have lived and thrived here before, that are no more. Nicely seen.
