| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I've so far posted a few photos of a more tranquill, idyllic Taiwan. But this small island is heavily industrialized. Taiwan is the largest semiconductor producer and has the largest per capita ownership of scooters in the world. Put these two together and you got yourself some smog. On some rare, special days, I am able to stand on the roof of my apartment building, look to the west and see the ocean; look to the east and see the mountains. This however, happens only after rain or during very windy days. On most cloudless days the sun, when setting, actually dissappers well over the horizon. Can you see the smog? |
