Photographer’s Note
The landing of these 2 Colvert Ducks is similar to the landing of an airplane on a seaplan carrier, in other words 'Full flaps'.
I increased contrast and lighting to improve the picture. I had to take 20 shots before I get that one.

I've learned the hard way that what I see on my monitor is not what everybody sees on their monitor. But based on what mine shows I'd like to see the contrast boosted and a bit of sharpening. Any other editing that would bring out the landing duck would be nice IMO.
Also consider cloning out the two small twigs on the left of the brush and the bits of vertical ice here and there. They drag my eye away from the subjects for no real reason.
Oh, and would you please report your shutter speeds a bit more precisely? ;o)

Wonderful action picture Jacques. I know how hard it is to capture these guys in landing because they actualy move very fast - I've tried a lot of times without any luck, but you did the trick. The soft colours and the foggy weather just contributes the atmosphere. Well done

Very well documented winter scene! I like this one better than the previous because of the movement, and the icy feeling created by the drops of water in the air. The colors match the generally cold atmosphere...

Very nice work Jacques - the cold haze gives a very moody photo. I like the positions you capture those Colvert Ducks in the air - thanks for sharing.

It looks like a perfect landing on a cold day . This photograph is worth at least two points . Well done !
