Photographer’s Note

This picture shows a beatyful staircase at the baroque church at Melk Abbey. The Monastery is located in Melk, a small town in Lower Austria whre the monks of St. Benedict has lived and worked for over 900 years.

The baroque church was built by architect Jakob Prandtauer in the years 1702 - 1736.

Hi Reinhard,
I like the way you captured the spiral staircase. It looks like a metaphor of the storm center image you can see on meteo maps (well, that's a very subjective comparison).

hi, interesting view. Just wish you had more of the spiral on the top...the colors are really nice...would love to see more pics of the pattern

Classic and impressive. The only thing is that the upper border maybe cuts the curve a little bit too much.
