Photographer’s Note
In February 1965 Canada adopted the red Maple Leaf as her national flag, replacing the British Union Jack. The Flag has a red Maple Leaf on a white background between two equal bars of red. Looking closely at the leaf in the center of the flag, one can almost see in the white background, two faces in opposition. Many would argue that this unintentional image accurately represents the struggle between English and French Canada.
This Flag flies over the Alberta Legislature building. The Blues and reds were brightened in PS7, the border was added and the image compressed in photofiltre.
