Photographer’s Note

British Columbia is a very magical place where nature manifests its power and beauty in its best form. You have to just keep your eyes open and beautiful compositions will come themselves. This little island in Neilson Wetland is taking bath in wonderful lake surrounded by high mountains. Reflection you see is reflection of surrounding mountains. No PP to that, only increase contrast.

It's great how you have picked up this little island with tele! Beautiful greens and blues and almost magical reflections. Slight tilt catches my eye. (Tree tops are more to left than their mirror images.)

Hi! I guess that more or less everything is said in the previous 30 comments... But I can leave such excellent shot! Could a longer exposure with a smaller aperture have made the reflections clearer without changing the DOF?

Stunning! This is one of my favourite shots of yours, and it really is special. The perfect little island is well positioned in the frame, allowing us to see the refelction and the shadow, going in different directions. Very unusual and beautiful. The colour and tone of the shot is great too. I like your idea to show the island close up and not show the mountain or sky (except in reflection) because it simplifies the scene and makes a more powerful image. Amazing!

Wow. I have a new friend on a scooter forum who rides BC talks about stuff like this. Didn't think I'd see some of the magic so soon. And this is magic. What an awesome experience you share! Spectacular! The colours are absolutely out of this world and provide the viewer with a wonderful palette to draw from. The composition is simple, artistic and poignant - Did I say marvelous!
