Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken hiking in the Gallatin Range in Southwestern Montana, the morning after the first snow of the season. This is Emerald Lake, and after a 5 1/2 mile hike, we gradually encountered snow on the trail, leading to this scene as we came up to the lake at about 8,000 ft. It is surrounded by these mountains as they gradually close in around the lake.

A terrific reflection but I'm not keen on the square format. I also feel that a lot of quality has been lost in compressing for posting on the web. It could be a lot sharper, try applying the Unsharp Mask to see what I mean. There is a lot of good detail that can be recovered in this image.

The photo is not very sharp. Either the original photo is lacking or the digital processing. However the scene is really beautiful.

Great scene. I think if the mountains looked sharper that would make the photo really stand out. Maybe that's just an artifact of the compression for uploading to web?

Nice mirror like reflection and the play of the shadow on the snow capped mountain,If it was on Panorama and Landscape mode it would have looked spectacular..
Kind regards Savitha
