Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in Oakes Garden Theatre, Niagara Falls. Originally constructed in 1936, it was built in the form of an amphitheatre. Rock gardens, lily ponds, and shrub borders have all been built around formalized gardens.

I liked the reflection of the modern hotel blended in the pond.

Hi Dragana,
A great fusion is happening here... very well caught. Those goldfish with the highrise are so incongruous, and that is what is great about it. What do you think of Niagara Falls? I find it frightening, in a sense, as nature is so awesome, and then comes "culture", the casinos, the ugly buildings, restaurant chains, touristy shops... it owuld have been so much better left untouched. But white man entered.

I really like how you combined the lines created by the fish and lines created by the building reflections. I see from your portfolio that you just love reflections and this is one of the cases where you used the reflection to create an atractive image.
