Photographer’s Note

On the border of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, the Bandeira Peak is the third highest in Brazil, being 2,889 meters high. In the picture, taken from the summit towards the Espírito Santo side, it's already daylight in the nearby towns, but the sun hasn't reached the summit yet, which is covered by the clouds.

Oi, Alexandre. Difícil ver o Pico da Bandeira, de que tanto ouvi falar na escola... Sua foto é muito boa e dá noção da grandiosidade da paisagem. SDS, Miguel.

Alô Alexandre,
é realmente impressionante a paisagem vista do topo do pico; mediram o cume, recentemente, com mais precisão: 2892 m. Como moro perto dali, passei um tempo da minha adolescência subindo esta serra (11 vezes ao todo). Tenciono voltar (se tiver fôlego ainda) para registrar em algumas fotos a magia deste lugar.
