Photographer’s Note
Again kids from Sapa area, I met them while I was walking down the valley near Sapa town towards Lao Chai village. I think this girl with this kid on the back was just passing me by, I have few pictures with them... I think I just chatted with them for a while , just to take some photos with them. I think the girl didn't smile much, I showed her a picture I took a second before where her face was kind of sad and I asked her to smile... and that is the smile she gave me :-)
and it was one of the happiest days in my life...
Original capture, no cropping, some PS adjustments: resize, levels, higher contrast, frame
------------
there is a small update, my own comments on the photo, because... I have just noticed two small but interesting things here:
1. the girl is looking exactly at the camera while the boy is looking up at my face
2. I can see a reflection of myself in the boy's eyes...

Great looks on their faces – I like how the smile of the girl and how the boy looks a bit curious. Very good tight framing.
I think this shot could work in B&W because of those great faces. I posted a WS...

beautiful and happy shot. Both color version and the b/w version are great. It's sharp and very well captured. The baby has smart and suspicious eyes. Good job.

This shot is full of emotion. The Asian sunny disposition is shining through in this shot. Your angle makes the natural lighting compliment the sunny faces of your subject. A good shot.

These two kids provide interesting contrasts: their eyes, their expressions, their sizes, their colors. Very good shot Maciek.

A charming photo. The little boy looks nervous, but curious to know what is happening.

Great portrait, very alive. I like the way you're at their level when you took this photo, it makes it seem more like we're there.
Super shot!

you hit it just right..the smile in the eyes is real not posed..you gave something here and got something in return..the little boy's expression is perfect as well...and light in the eyes made things come alive.

Fantastic portrait with incredible expressions on the faces of the kids. The very thight cropping works really well for this kind of image. I do find the photo a bit overexposed. But the overall picture is great.

You certainly caught the moment and used nice tight framing to produce a lot of impact.
I agree with the previous statement that the image looks a bit over-exposed. Try dropping the brightness and increasing the saturation and/or contrast a bit and see what you think.

Really nice capture. I like the expressive wrinkles on the girl's nose. I loved Viet Nam, but didn't get up to Sapa - maybe next time!

The kids are sweet, the little girl is so exuberant, its infectious, I feel a smile coming.

I love your portraits, and this one is no exception. It's a bit on the bright side, I think, but that does not affect the quality much. It amazes time and time again how you get such spontaneity in your shots. The girl, with a great smile, looked happy as you took her picture while the boy looked a bit startled...

Funtastic impressions from far away country, yet very familiar. I like it a lot. Thanks!
