Photographer’s Note

Good evening! Here's a shot that I took on Saturday in Pellinge (an islet outside Porvoo in Finland) at sunset. PS-work: a bit of saturation, vignetting, dodge & burn tools and frame.

Hope you like it. Comments and critiques are welcomed.

Lovely photo! The colours and lighting are brilliant and I like the different textures in the clouds and sky as well as on the ground. Very well composing using the rule of thirds well. Well exposed and captured!

Very nice use of the WA. The symmetry seems to work well here, noting that it's somewhat broken by the (molten?) lighter patch near the center.
What strikes me most about this one are the colors, though. Very nice opposition there (red & violet).

Which space craft do you use? :)

This is a great shot and it really looks like some alien land.The emptiness gives this pic the 'Not in Earth' feel. The color of the sky adds to it. Beautifully done and thanks for sharing - Vikram

Amazing shot with stunning colours. I love the cold foreground of snow and ice against the warm colours of the sunset. Great use of light and great composition. A very well captured, great work!

Very very good!
The hot and cold colors are complementary. There is like a sentation of end's world, make a vignetting is a good idea.

Exposure control is excellent, with good composition of 1/3:2/3 of sky/earth. You captured the texture wonderfully, the last light casting wonderfully on the soft snow...impressive shot!!
