Nevado Sajama
Nous avons quitté le Chili. La traversée de la frontière bolivienne s'est faite dans la confusion la plus totale en raison de la foule impressionnante d'Indiens. Sans aucun doute, un pèlerinage avait lieu dans ce secteur. Quelques kilomètres après la frontière, en bordure du lac Chungará, la piste qui part sur la gauche, nous même au village de Sajama, au pied du volcan du même nom. C'est à Sajama que nous dormirons, chez l'habitant, car il n'y a pas d'hôtel. Avec ses 6542m d'altitude, le Nevado Sajama est le plus haut sommet de la Bolivie.
Le soleil sur le couchant, illumine cette majestueuse montagne de teintes dorées.

Nevado Sajama
We left Chile. The crossing of the Bolivian border was done in the most total confusion because of the impressive crowd of Indians. Without any doubt, a pilgrimage took place in this sector. A few kilometers after the border, in edge of the Chungará lake, the track on the left, go to Sajama village, at the basis of the volcano of the same name. It is in Sajama that we will sleep, in an inhabitant house, because there is no hotel here. With its 6542m of altitude, Nevado Sajama is the most top of Bolivia. The sun on the setting one, illuminates this majestic mountain of gilded colours.

Beautiful landscape, captured very well with excellent light and a strong composition. A gorgeous mountain indeed, and its topography is clearly visible in the clear atmosphere. The only problem is the overexposed snow and ice on top.

Forcément, je ne peux rester insensible à la photo de ce magnifique sommet qui me rappelle beaucoup de souvenirs. Je suis contente d'apprendre en lisant ta note que le coin n'a pas trop subi les développements imposés par le tourisme et que l'on dort chez l'habitant à Sajama (c'est tout de même un progrès car nous, c'était sous la tente).
Une belle image qui montre bien le côté isolé de ce sommet. C'est juste un peu dommage que le blanc soit un peu "cramé" mais c'est vrai qu'avec cette lumière de l'altiplano ça n'est pas facile!

a les couleurs du soleil couchant, c'est du top, quand on est la pour prendre les photos, ces volcans ce ressemblent tous, mais ils ont tous un truc qui fait qu'ils sont différents en fait. belle note instructive comme toujours.

Coucher de soleil splendide, et j'aime beaucoup les teintes gris-bleu du ciel, et gris-vert de l'herbe qui font ressortir davantage la lumiere sur la montagne. Beau travail,

Hello Jean,
A great shot of this volcano and the sunset. The grasses were a very good intro into the scene. The plains are beautiful when you include them with a mountain such as this.
