Tennants Creek Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi all,

On my trip in November I visited Tennants Creek in the Northern Territories on my way back to Cairns.

I got this picture just off the highway on the way into the town. I wanted to go for the well exposed sky with soilhouetted foreground for this image.

To get this I tripod mounted my camera and ramped up the fstops to f14.

Post processing in Photoshop included slight sharpening and tweaking of the saturation.

A very pleasant shot Chris, really a fan of the colour in the sky and the sharp distinctive silhouette of Australian trees.

Hi Chris,
Colourful sunset with good contrast. The sunset colours seem to be so different from what we have here in the north. Good horizontal composition of blue, orange and black. I like the silhouettes and postcard framing too.

Fantastic colours in this photo. Your cropping close removing foreground here works very effectively. Well done.

Lovely colours here too Chris, I just love colours in the sky, you can just look at them for ever! Like your framing etc on all your pics. Look forward to seeing some more. Andy
