Photographer’s Note
TE is supposed to show the world as it is - both the beautiful and the ugly - isn't it? So, here you have a brothel and a dirty road, under an overcast sky. I guess this is in or near the Amargosa Desert (part of the Mojave Desert), somewhere off the United States Highway 95 (Veterans Memorial Highway), from Las Vegas to Tonopah, Nevada.
Prostitution is legal in Nevada (in Las Vegas it's banal), but nevertheless these off road brothels are quite disgusting.
Very rough approximate location of the photo in WikiMapia: 36.6316597, -116.3239288. I'd like to know a more precise location.

Hi Francisco, interesting pic showing how this can be found even in the middle of nowhere, just sky, desert and brothel. And you classified it as "daily life", LOL! :) Daniel

I really like your attitude of showing also the negative sides of normal life.
Keep on like that, it really teaches a lot about our world, more than most artsy shots.

The "OPEN" sign out front is what makes this real to me, a building so little, so unappealing in the middle of immensity, yet with customers cars parked to one side, patiently waiting for their owners. This is a slice of "real life." Thank you for showing it to me.

I find nothing dirty here, nature at its best.
I love this place's atmosphere.
Again the quality of your capture is nothing less than a professionals.
The yellow colour pouring out from the brothel is i think the attraction of this capture.
Altogether an excellent capture of a very rare place.

Hi Francisco,
I agree about showing both beautiful and ugly aspects of life. And as a picture this is beautiful.
It's rather loosely cropped though. The building is not so well visible. Clouds are nice. And I like bright cloud on top, so it's quite a tough decision, what could be cropped off.

If I'd be forced to justify the existance of TE on internet, I'd point strait forward to your picture.
That's why we need TE. To learn about THE STUFF a world has to offer.
You did your part Francisco, and you did it very good.
Thanks a lot
George

Hi, Francisco!
They say that every train has his own passangers... What matters in this case is the perfection of your photo. You are a master of the colors, composition and focus.
Congratulations!

Francisco,
Good that you put it in TE, but we do need a point of view...what makes this a special place is not quite apparent from the photo...we don't get any hint. So, why not get closer, perhaps wait for some characters to appear (and risk getting assaulted, perhaps)?

Hi Francisco,
I like this composition, the dark threatening sky warns of treatening diseases lurking inside.

HI Francisco,
I don't find anything disgusting in your picture, it's a very harmonious composition in blue and yellow, with a very nice light.

chico
