Photographer’s Note
Hi all,
another B&W shot from Far North Queensland from me. This was taken on the beach at Cow Bay in Cape Tribulation. I have several differently composed images of this boat, but feel that this one works the best. I like the way that the boat is position in the bottom left with the rope on the boat leading the eye away so that all focus isnt on the boat itself.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris, good shot. the strong contrast and the beautiful black and white are perfect for that landscape. good POV and perspective along the beach, good focus too.

A really nice shot here Chris. Nice the way you have everything leading to the boat - the rope, the water's edge, the horizon, the headland, and even the shadow of the rope. Unusual to see a beach shot in B&W, but it works very well. I might have added just a touch more contrast to the image, but then thats just my personal taste.

Very good shot, Chris and you are right about the rope. And very good use of B&W here. Well done!

Hola Chris. Me gusta tú foto por dos motivos principales. Primero porque es muy simple y agradable y segundo porque has sabido aprovechar las ventajas del blanco y negro para darle mayor dramatismo. Además el borde negro con las letras es muy elegante. Buen trabajo.

That's a nice capture, Chris! I dont know how the others looks like, but this work quite well! The cable draws the eye toward the boar, the clouds leafy over above...The sun was not easy on you, but even so you took it well!

By far and away my favourite one of your black and white pics...this is timeless and dreamy, and the monochrome effect enhances what I suspect is actually quite a lot of cloud in (for tropical Australia) a slightly gloomy sky! I wonder if I wouldn't have tried to separate boat and cliff behind by stepping two paces to the left...but all the same I think you should be very pleased indeed with this work, it's lovely!

Hello Chris,
Ta photo est magnifique, l'utilisation du noir et blanc est très judicieux.
bye !
