Photographer’s Note
I wanted to go to Santis for the day, but the bergbahn was closed for 2 weeks for cable replacement, So I made my way to Kronberg.
Took the train to Appenzell, then out furthur another 10 mins to Jacobsbad.
It was a fantastic day, but I unfortunately missed sunset by 5 mins (had to catch the last bergbahn back). Met another guy up there who had the same idea as I did - pictures of an amazing sunset.
Missed the train back to Appenzell, but I got a lift there with my new friend from the top of the mountain. Another amazingly kind swiss.

Even if you missed the sunset, the shot is really good. Especially for the warm and soft light spreading on the snow and the house.
There's an athmosphere of peace and quietness.

Hi Jack it's maybee not the sunset but it is a very nice capture. The colours are pleasant and soft; the depth is fine and you off-centered the chalet nicely. well done.

It was worth missing the train and shooting this one even if it was 5 minutes past sunset time and sharing this solitude with TE members.

Hi Jack: I love the softness of the light here, creating kind of dreaming atmosphere. So inviting to visit the place. Very well composed, the wide shot was the perfect one to portrait the moment. Thanks for share.
