Photographer’s Note
Personally I think that one of the most amusing subjects in potography is the desert. It gives you so many possibilities and ideas.
Morevoer the same subject, if you have a bit of patience (in the desert who doesn’t have time?), changes continually its appearance and colours.
Here I was again in the Erg Chebbi, walking and enjoying that spectacular nature, done by soft lines and forms.

Lovely image of the sand and the shadows. Very well captured, and it's also quite artistic. Great image.

Hello, I agree with you, the desert is a ground of choice to have fun in the photograph. One could believe that all is similar, of sand and of sand..., after a few nights in the medium and of the excursions, one realizes that any exchange all the time, according to the wind, the light and the grounds.
That makes an immense play-ground of it.
Here a very beautiful graphic and artistic realization.
Well seen

There's been some pretty interesting things of this sort on TE over the years, but I think this is one of the best graphic results, I also like whatever you've done to get those colours.

without the title one could be at a loss to the subject...its so graphic and abstract it doesnt need to be mooted as sand...but is
it struck me as a really excellent shot using the light and shade to give a tension and yet be static and peaceful

I love the way you photograph the dunes. You manage to play with light and shadow so well!
I love deserts and I really appreciate this type of picture.

I love this photo Andrea. It has a softness and roundedness of line and texture making it very sensual like a close-up of a woman's body.
I've also spent ages looking at the composition and wondering whether I'd have framed it like this - what about the cut off of the shadow at the top, is there too much light at the bottom right. In the end I concluded that the way you have it here is just great and this would still be true almost whatever you choose.
This is a picture I wish I'd taken.

Very nice shot, this one and the other too. I like the game of light and shadow in tour shots.
Well done.... there's so much athmosphere.

Ciao Andrea, I think your shot is very good, it looks like a desert photo but at the same time it is pretty abstract due to the softness of the lines and also to the shadows. I like it a lot.

I agree so much with your note Andrea. Having been there myself I always found the desert intriguing... A nice shot here very graphical. TFS. Bala

The amazing thing about images such as this one you have captured here, is it allows for ones imagination to entirely wander trying to figure out precisely what it is. It somewhat reminds me of a series that National Geographic was doing in which an image would appear to be one thing, for instance a waterfall, but instead be entirely something different, such as a tiny rock that could fit in ones palm.
Amazing Image

Ciao Andrea,
I've never been in the desert. Must be a great expirience. Great shot of these curves in the sand. Beautiful these shadows.
Nice composition.
