Photographer’s Note

A tour on the old canals is one of the biggest tourist attractions and an experience you should not miss. The boats take you through all parts of the old city and pass many of the most famous sights.

Each year thousand of tourists experience Copenhagen Canal Tours’ with comfortable open and covered boats

Since 1904, touring the city’s beautiful old buildings and harbour front by boat has been one of Denmark’s most popular sightseeing attractions.

You can board the boat either at Kongens Nytorv at the start of Nyhavn, or at Gammel Strand near Christiansborg. Experience the beautiful and idyllic canals.

This picture was taken at one of the places that you can get in the boats to make the canals tour.

Hi Emile, A nice shot to let the river leads our view from the foreground to the background into the city. Nice colorful picture showing the perspective view of the canal bank, the houses along the bank and the tourist boats. Good PoV and nice depth.

Although you were not blessed with the greatest sky here, you have made the most of it and produced a clear dynamic shot that well illustrates the role of canals in this city. I like the proportion of foreground here and the POV to show the angling course of the canal. A good capture, Emile.

The area around Gammel Strand is one of my favourite places in Copenhagen! A nice capture of the little harbour for the canal touring boats. I like the Scandinavian flags adding some colour. Good work!

Hola Emile.

Esta foto podría colar perfectamente en Amsterdam. Es la típica foto con un canal, barcos y demás. La única pena es el cielo, una lástima de día pero claro, poco se puede hacer ahí.

Un muy bonito retrato diario de Copenhage.

A good effect has been caught here with the curvature of the canal. The colour of the photo has been brought out well, despite the cloudy skies (a characteristic of Northern Europe I fear). A good composition to capture the facade of buildings disappearing into the distance. Good work.

Apesar del cielo tan gris conseguisete un buen juego de luz y contrastes y con la composición y definición para mi ese aspecto pasa desapercibido. Yo me quedé con las ganas de visitar Copenhagen estos meses atrás que mi prima estuvo estudiando medicina pero ahora ya me puedo hacer una idea.

I like this view because of the curve rather then a straight line,the norm for a canal.It gives a sense of dynamism and also the desire to go see what lies beyond.
The colors are good in the misty day.
