Photographer’s Note
The third time I visited Washington, DC (November, 2005), I walked into the Lincoln Memorial to find the statue of Lincoln encased in scaffolding. I'm sure it was there so they could do repairs to the statue, but it was a shock to see him closed in like that.
I straightened the image slightly, then adjusted the levels, and sharpened and resized it before uploading.
