View from a cable car back into the Gardena valley.

I would appreciate any comments on how to take better photos of mountains, as it seems impossible to obtain a satisfactory photo of the granduer, without loosing detail. Here I've only got a small segment of the view, as if I'd pulled back further, you would not see anything?
