Photographer’s Note
I am kidding, it just seems old.
In the newest book I have watched 100 years old postcards from my town Koper. I have noticed that all the postcards they are inclined to the green colour, so I have decided that I try to copy this technique. I have gone on the towns beach where I found this beach tower very similar to architecture of that time. I have made a few shots, after that I have chosen this picture in order to make the post processing with PSP.
For first I have had to choose the right contrast, after that I have had to equalize all the shades. Than I have used the 'hue/saturation/lightness' for disposing the right darkness and the green colour. On the end I take away a little to strong reddish accent of the tower and I added them a little above the surface of the sea.
The pic it is maybe too clean and sharp but I think that is pretty similar to the those of one hundred years ago?

The effect is very close to faded postcards, even colorpictures printed in 50´s and 60´s can look something like this. The picture as such is also fine, maybe you should have some more room on the right of the lamp. Well done, funny experiment!

Nice idea and experiment, Max. I'd say it looks pretty similar to those old-time postcards, which I agree with you tend to have those greenish-looking colors. The composition is very nice with the angle from which you shot this seaside motive. I was also thinking that I'd like to see a little more on the right (i.e. the complete lamp). Very creative work.

Maybe not a hundred years but could certainly be 50 or 60 years. I really like this style of architecture (20s?). This is a great picture, the composition is excellent, the tower slightly to the left and the lamp post balancing to the right, the horizon at just the right level and the angle is perfect. I like it a lot.

Very nice picture. It is a pity there is a crop over the light on the right. I made a WS just to play with "old postcards"

I really like this. The tower's shape is really amazing, and I like the lamppost how it contrasts in mass size with the tower. You have achieved your goal this looks like an old post card a great capture and a really interesting work.

Ce mirador est bien mis en valeurs de part sa position et d'autre part avec ces belles couleurs douces.
Bien vu et bravo Max

Interesting experiment Max, and yes old colour photos tend to be greenish. Well done post work here.

Very nice work on the photo Max! I really like the final look. The texture and light on the tower and the color of the sky is excelent.
I'll keep this as a favorite not to forget your technique...

Excellent composition, Max. I really like the design, texture and shadows of the tower. Your technique has certainly aged the photo. Well done.

good result, absolutely. The architecture of the tower and the bench do look oldfashioned. The 'dull' colors work well here. Well done!

hmm. nice oicture. But i think it would have been even better in black and white - to accompany the "100 years old" feel.
