Photographer’s Note
Finally the sun poked through all the rain we usually get in the northwest corner of the United States. We had a few days of sun and then the cold blast hit. It's still sunny but temperatures are in the "teens" brrrrr. I enjoyed a few days of walking and snapping photos so I could remember just what spring will bring.
Editorial
I was disappointed when I saw how this looked after reposting. I love the workshop done, it was definitely closer to what I had in mind. I am glad I posted it however so will let it stand as a learning example. My new photo editing program shows a small size window and very often the photo looks great in the smaller size. So I've now learned to open it up to 100% before deciding if I'm finished with my editing or not. I wanted to show the curve of the rock wall with the trees as background somewhat, but couldn't decide, so one of the problems here I guess is too many main subjects. Lesson learned, hopefull I'll do better next time? I'm posting a improved version of the same photo. Hopefully you'll like it better, I do as it sharper and clearer and the clouds aren't so blown out.

Hi Lori!
I like your perspective and also the heavy contrast you have used to focus attention on the dark barren trees against the blue sky.

Hi Lory,
this is a nice shot, but it has also some small problems...
-first of all I can't understand why you cut the trees, they supposed to be yout main element... so, I would suggest you a more wide plan.
-the clouds look overexposed, but I understand that it is an effect of the POV against the light...
-but the colours are not balanced well; we have here so much blue, so you should try to correct this small problem
this is anyway a good idea, so go on!
ah, i tryied a WS, this isn't perfect, but I think you can understand everything I wrote you here...
have a nice day!
