Photographer’s Note
I was lucky enough to be given a ticket to watch Chelsea play Lazio of Italy in the European Champions league competiton this year. It was a superb game. The final score was 2-1 to Chelsea and the atmosphere in Stamford Bridge was superb. Most of the Chelsea chants were initiated by the man standing here in the photo. Indeed this burst of song led to half the 45,000 people in he stadium standing up to join in and get behind their team. It obviously worked!
I would appreciate tips on what kind of exposure settings are most favourable for a floodlit sporting event? (i had bought my new camera the day prior to the game and so just used the Auto settings here).

Nice picture, but for me it could be better if a)the man was not there and b) the goal could be seen

The man works well with the addition of the notes but I think detracts from the overall image. He is too prominent. I also think that as football is basically played on the ground, a landscape format would work better. Landscape original that is, cropping to that format wouldn't really help.
Not a bad effort all the same for the first use of a new camera.

David,
I like the guy in the photo -- he tells the story (or a story) without words. I think I might have cropped some off of the top, though, as he seems to get a bit lost way down at the bottom

well considering, I like the colors and the environment of the stage and framing are good and it is even interesting to see the man upright.
