Photographer’s Note
First, the light. A warm sun shining from the right and a cool blue sky reflected in the ice.
Second, in this part of the world a slight occra color is very common on weathered rock.
Third, open water and a cold wind from the northwest.
Fourth, some old ice with grains of snow or frost.
Fifth, a band of ice that has been overrun by the waves.
Sixth, a snowpatch with texture of the rock and the wind.
Seventh, a grey cloud to give the reflection some life - oh sorry, it is the smoke from the paper mill :(

Ebbe, once again a very beautiful - but cold - picture. Hadn't it been for the occra colored rock (with a warming blanket of snow), it would have been too cold for me. The light on that rock symbolizes hope - hope of a better future... I especially like your composition and the old ice with grains (so crisp clear!). I believe that you've captured all elements in one picture!!
Otroooligt!

Like wintherphotos that gives a warm feeling Ebbe. This is a one of that kind. Good composition too. Like the open waer that making a "river" through the ice. Particulary like the stone. you have put it on a real good place in the composition, and i like the contrast of the warm occra color and the white snow. Great note to. A kind of poem would I say.

Excellent patterns and colours Ebbe. White ice on black sand is great contrast and very different. The differences in the water textures are very nice too. Looks too cold for a swim :)

I'm always impressed by the way you capture textures. I particularly like the right side, although the deep blue tone of the water is also wonderful.
Nicely composed, these bands of colors/textures with curves are so esthetic..
Thank you Ebbe.

Execellent contrast. Although the strong contrast, still very good exposure. The white spots on the beach adds dimension to it. What is it anyway?

Beautiful composition. Lovely colours and light on the rock - which is well framed. The textures are excellent. Good note.

A very artistic shot. Lovely range of texture in a small section of water and beautiful cold blue. Well spotted.

this is a fantasy of texture, ideal for texture lovers like me. The thumbnail looks like a French cuisine dish, nice, colorful, tasty and complicated.
Great shot, and a great note.

Very lovely. I like your use of that curving water. The warm rock is a welcome detail!
Très beau. J'aime votre utilisation de cette eau courbante. La roche chaude est un détail bienvenu !
