Photographer’s Note
This is the same location as in #1, but taken at late night and with slightly worse weather conditions. Typically, we would be inside the boat and evaluate collected snow algae, read the literature or socialize. It is kind of hard to have a regular sleep / wake pattern during the polar day, because it is always bright. Only towards the end of our trip, mid September, we experienced a one hour darkness per day.

This is astonishing, Cerdo. This is a great visualization of the "polar night" topic which I've heard a lot about but not seen much. I can understand what you're mentioning about the difficulties of arriving at a normal sleep/wake rhythm. Now as for the large view, it is great. The bad weather only adds to the feel. A lot of details, every single peak very well described in your preview picture, and I like how you framed the view with the opposite ends of the boat. Well done.

Wow! This is amazing! Great, great panorama! The contrasting colors are very powerful and this shot gives us a great polar mood! I will certainly follow your travelogue...why are you colecting algae? You are a scinetist or something? Is this for ecology studies? Tell me more pleeeaaseeeee :)

What a landscape - and what an idea you had to shoot all the panoramas. Thanks for sharing Cerdo
