| This pic just struck me as a little odd, or at least as of something a little odd. Its a sculpture to be found in the north of England somewhere near the the east end of the coast to coast bike ride, possibly near Newcastle. |

This picture just struck me also. Uusual modern technology in an unusual place. Very odd.

interesting sclupture. I wonder what is all about :) it looks like a telescope on a 3 different foots types stand. amazing.
It's in Consett, Co Durham near the site of the old steel works which was demolished in the 1980s. It's called Terris Novalis:
