Good sharp well composed night shot. A bit of glare from the bright lights. I found that with all those little canon compact zooms there's a tendancy for that to happen. The only little canon I've use where it hasn't happened is my little ixus-i without zoom. I wonder if this is a well known problem with the range.

There's magic indeed Jennifer! I would have liked to have seen a little lower view to maybe catch some of the people passing by and maybe crop a little of the top; but excellent shot of the Broadway Neon.

Hi Jennifer. I'm glad you posted this one from one of my favorite places on the planet. Good angle with the Roxy sign offering a good foreground interest for this view across towards the Bertelsmann Building and all the surrounding array of highrises and neon lights. The exposure came out pretty good on this one. I just saw some news footage on the record snowfall that the city got over the weekend, amazing.

Hello jenny, this is a very colourful shot from that famous place, what a lights! And then I try to save energy at home ;-). Though the last two years, my PDC has been turned on much more often then before.
Did you see a show as well here, or were you just ‘windowshopping’?

Hi Jenn, great sequel to your Australian urban shot. It's a spectacular night shot and I love the delicious combi of architecture and neon here. And the Roxy sign indeed steals the show. Xcellent and very lively work.
Added to the Outdoor type theme.

Hi Jennifer. I like this shot quite a bit, I have never visited New York or Broadway, but this is jsut as I would picture it. I wish you had aimed a little lower though, I would like to see more of the people on the street.

Neil Young does a good version of On Broadway on his Freedom album.

Great nightime shot - I am hoping to go there myself this year - what were your exposure details, they would make for interest reading. Your sacpture of foreground details looks as though the shutter speed was reasonable.

thx for your comment/ws image...it looks better than the original as far as colours go.
anyhow, here's an image i admire in your gallery of photos.
i wished there was more sharper contrast in colour or maybe that's from the glare in the bright lights above??...but nonetheless, it's good.
i love how you framed this...especially with the focal point (at least to me) being the roxy sign...cool image.
