Photographer’s Note
This is the one of the bells of the belfry of the church St. George in Piran. The belfry it was built in 1608 and is a smaller copy of the famous tower bell of St. Marcul in Venice. This means that the bronze bell it is old nearly 400 years. The bell is high more of one meter with the diameter a little less than one meter.

Good composition, Max. Nice contrast between the wood and rust at the top. The sunlight on the main bell, enhances its detail and colours. I love the way the other two bells are lurking in the background. Well seen and framed.

Fine details of the old bell. We can also see the other bells in the background. So I guess you was up in the tower then!?

This is a nice texture study Max. Both the wood and the bell have really nice aged textures. The bell must weigh tons. The composition is nice and simple. I think the light is a little on the harsh side, but this might as well be due to differences in screen settings. The shadows on the structures at the back and the sea peeping through makes a nice background.

A great closeup shot, Max. It allows to appreciate a lot of detail in the texture of the bell's surface, as well as of the wood. Nice effect of "dimension" created by the sharp bell in the foreground against the two other blurry bells in the back. I'm a little worried to see the rust in the mounting though; I hope the bell won't fall down one day. A very good and interesting shot!

La lumière qui frappe cette cloche est très bonne.
La présentation centrée a été bien vue et les couleurs sont géniales.
Bravo pour cette belle photo Max

Great to see such a nice old bell in sunlight - All bells I seen has always been placed in dark rooms - and hard to get close too. A very sharp and clear capture of the bell and the wood over it - good work - thanks for sharing.

Beautiful colours and fine details on this old bell. The wood and rusted iron contrast well with the green colouring of the weathered bronze. Must be good views from that bell tower I should think. Very nice work.
