Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken with a digital camera in late afternoon from the balcony just outside the entrance to the Albertina Museum in Vienna. The man in the long trenchcoat had entered the street at the bottom of the photo and chosen to walk its entire length in the middle of the street although there were empty sidewalk on both sides of the street. He'd initially passed two uniformed city construction workers who drove off in a van. Vienna is one of those cities whose beauty (or dare I say gestalt) is best felt in winter.
