Photographer’s Note
Taking a walk by the wharf of Istanbul I was before this incredible scene where the effect of the perspective and the photographic angle create a special atmosphere. It is the end of a way that finishes in the sinking.

Hi Karl
This is a striking but rather sad shot. As you say the odd angle of the sinking ship, together with the bright colours, makes for a wonderful composition and I like the fact you've also included the people walking along the wharf.
Well done

Hi Karl,
What a brilliant shot. It does'nt look like an old rust bucket so what made it sink.
Regards Arnie.

Bonjour Karl,
Wow...c'est incroyable en effet. Tu as su saisir cette scène sous un bon angle. Superbes couleurs et contraste. J'aime cette perspective du quai et les personnages du premier plan.
Amicalement
