Photographer’s Note
Image took from le Saline Vecchie di Olbia in the early norming looking to Golfo Aranci, on the North-Eastern coast of Sardegna. It was a morning of strong wind, and i was at not less than 800 meters from the sea, on the top of a small sand dune.
Durign the summer season, every morning, in few hours many ferries and cruise ships entered in the Gulf of Olbia, were there are 2 of the biggest, and crowded, seaports of Sardegna: Olbia and Golfo Arancia, at not more of 15 km of distance.
Ferries arrived from the whole Italy: Savona, Genova, Livorno, La Spezia, Piombino, Civitavecchia, Roma-Fiumicino, Napoli and Palermo.
That image is dedicated to the victims of the Salaam-Boccaccio '98 that sank 40 miles off the Arabian coast.

Hi Paolo,
Beautiful colors and nicely balanced shot except that I personally feel there is a little too much of the sky. The sky color is so catchy blue but the bottom is more hazzy and blurred.
Beautiful composition and so creative.
Cheers.

BRavissimo Paolo!

What a tragedy. I hope the people responsible answer for it.
The photo is fantastic. As usual, you show such magnificent views of the sea. The colors are so photogenic and your composition with this magnificent huge sky dominating here is spot on.

hi Paolo, this was such a shocking news, right after the tragedy in Poland, another, much greater there. the ships looks as if it were sailing away into an unknown land...very nice.

Hello Paolo
Beautiful view of the sea and the ship
its scary that the ship seems close to crashing with the land.
Very well done

Hi Paolo
A great minimalist image with a great composition. The ship is excellently placed in the frame and the blue tint adds great atmosphere to the scene. Beautiful blue sky and well seen. Well done.

I like the way you artistically composed this shot to resemble more a modern painting. This type of art is relative. I like it.

Oh, I am so homesick for Italy, looking at your amazing shots, Paolo... that blue of the Tarquinian sea... I love the graphic aspect of your shot, so simple and beautiful... thanks for reminding me that such places exist...
Ciao, brava!
