Le Vendredi est jour Saint en pays musulmans. Les familles en profitent pour flaner. La citadelle d'Alep domine la ville et son souk, certainement le plus beau du monde. En juillet, la chaleur y est terrible. Tout en haut se trouve une petite mosquée, très sobre. Cette famille semble fascinée par l'inscription gravée sur le mur

Black dressed people are all ladies and the white one is a man? Interesting note, well composed picture. Aleppo must be an interesting town.

The subjects are most likely tourists from an Arab Gulf state like Arabia most likely. The clothing style give them away. Although you have to be a local to distinguish such nuances in typical regional Arab dresses' styles.
Aleppo city is very much like an open air museum. Aleppo people almost never visit the attractions since they live immersed in them all their lives. Too bad indeed
I did enjoy the pic very much. Good job.
