Photographer’s Note

A boy took his sister to the park, trying to lead her and teach her something, she looked at the small thing he was holding in his hand.

I actually don't remember when I took this shot. I only know that I used a point and shoot camera then.

This is really pretty good for a point and shoot, which I still use, too, for quick shots! The neat thing about the photo is the way you captured the shaft of light on the little girl's face. It's a nice photo.

Hi Lauryn, A good shot to show the natural expressions of the kids. Good capture of the morning sunlight to well highlight the small girl’s face. A nice shot of the daily life.

Woooah, this is a winner in my opinion -- a very nice double portrait. I love the colour quality, the way you captured the glow that bright colours can have in late afternoon or early evening. I do wish that car wasn't in the upper corner, but that's a small detail. I also agree with Peter about the lighting of the girl's face... it's a very nice effect. Nice work.

That is OUTSTANDING, Lauryn. Can't remember you getting so CLOSE to subjects before, with a lovely light and golden touch. It is close to Mingfang's style too, and I'm a nig fan of hers, of course!

interesting daily life shot here, I like the colours the boy is wearing because alot of boys in Japan, well in my schools love Pink

Hi Lauryn, very nice and nice colors, in spite of the mundane setting; the "leading" role of the brother is strong and his colorful clothes stand out, precisely as it should be the case with his role. I like it! Daniel
