Photographer’s Note

The shot has been taken at after noon, when we are coming after a short treking from Elephanta. Elephanta is a well known tourist spot of Mumbai, specially for the old reliefs, sculptures and a temple to the Hindu god Siva.
The caves are thought to date back to the Silhara kings of the 9th through 13th centuries (810-1260)

The only transport to this Island is via small stearmers and boats. One can find some of them are going back to their boat(home ?) along with bucket of water or with some washed clothes holding in hand.
