[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These kids surrounded us when we trekked into town, and were quite helpful when it came to putting up the tent. The one in the back was very shy and looked at us as though we were monsters from outer space.

Such a beautiful Velvia colours David! i simply miss film days i have to admit..
(this is why i am going back to my manual film camera from time to time even if film costs considerably more to me in these days..)

Great similes, beautiful composition,.. i wish horse didnt overlap the kid though.. ;)

Excellent image overall..
Best wishes.

Hi David,
Spectacular capture of these kids. I like the playing with the DOF and the expression of them, specially the one in foreground are marvellous. Congratulations!
TFS,
Ricardo

p.s.- I found your gallery, very good. India is one of the coutries that fascinates me and I hope to go there someday, in the next years.
Best regards,
Ricardo

Great use of perspective and DOF. The sky with the fluffy clouds is amazing but I think it detracts from the kids, maybe a bit of selective desaturation helps.

Hello David,

Nice shot on this child's face ! I like very much the colors and the clouds in the sky... Good frame !

Regards,
Stéphanie.

my type of photo as you know already;) pity you did not try to highlight a bit more the front kid's face..The PO is brilliant and the BG perfect!

I love it!
Eric

Hey David,

Great shot and one that tells a great story and must mean a bit to yourself. Love the face the kid is pulling in the shot, and also nice colour.

Very effective! Good composition and light, well seen and photographed.

A great expression! Fill in flash might have been good here as the Ladakhi sunlight is just so strong. Did you take any other pictures of these kids?

Hi David,

Beautiful photo, it is a very well captured moment. I might have liked the kid at the back in focus too, but maybe it emphasises that he is shy that he is not in focus.
Thanks for sharing,
Marie

Hi David.. missed some of you very nice shots... I like this in particular.. What beautiful smile to welcome the monsters from outer space :-). Take care. Bala
