Photographer’s Note

As i wrote many times, i prefer mountains than sea, snow than sun, forest than beaches, climbing and sky than swimming and diving...but the most part of my images have the sea, or a lake, or a river...or a pond as main theme....i don't know way...probably in a my past life i was a fish!

I posted that image where the sea is the heart of the shot 'cause this morning i spent 1 hour to take off the snow from my car and around it, an other half hour of travel from the house to my studio (2,5 km, normally 10 minutes), i'm completled covered by snow, and my feet are frozen.
It's snowing from 26 hours, there are 40 cm of snow, the airports of Linate, Malpensa and Orio al Serio are all 3 closed, more than 900 kms of highways of North Italy are closed or in terrifiant situation.
Just outside the city, where temperature are lowest there are more than 50, 60 cm.
The forecast aren't good. Other 24 hours of snow for a total of 80-100 cm in Milan city and 100-120 just outside.

My wife that work in the Metro Area at 45 km from our house, rested home. Schools and universities are closed.

So...the happy thing of all that is that in the flat Milan it snowing, on the Alps...not. too much cold!

Anyway, today a good view take from the ferry at half way between Piombino and the Isola d'Elba. Image took in the late afternoon during a hot day of strong humidity.
Is the best view to doesn't think that this evening i'll must try to come back home....
