Photographer’s Note
Before our trip, I already knew I wanted to get a sunset or sunrise over the Serengeti. The opportunity only came once on Christmas Day. But I'm happy with the result. I hope you will enjoy it too.

A very nice variation of a classical theme. I like the way the sun is half out of the cloud, I like the colors and I like the light.

Amazing shot. Beautiful composition. It looks as if the sun were squashing the tree. And I just love these shadow/light contrasts. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sebastien,
a beautiful picture with good colours and composition. Very classical indeed.
The only problem is that it's rather noisy. You can solve that with neat image (free download)
I did a WS, hope you like it
Thanks and regards, Gerrit

Hello Sebastien!
A really nice picture, this is kind of like the first thing I think of when I think Africa, and Lion King. hehe, nice colors and nice composition. The black dots? Are they birds or just a dirty lens? Either way, that's the only thing I dislike in this picture, well done!
Regards,
Daniel

Hello Sebastien, this is a classic shot from sub-Saharan Africa. The silhouette of the tree almost defines a safari postcard and I love the way the sun appears to be sitting on top of it.

Perfect picture
It reminds me of The Lion King
I almost expect to see Mufasa coming up to the lense
Excellent composition and colors
