[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this one in the mid afternoon while driving past the Bow Lake on Highway 93 from Banff to Jasper. The sky was dark and cloudy which gave the cold glacial waters their dark blue color. Bow Lake is about 37 Km north of the famous Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93).

Also visible from the road, at 34 Km from Lake Louise is the Crowfoot Glacier. The glacier is a spectacular toe of ice that hangs down over a cliff-face just 300 metres from the viewpoint. Just beyond Crowfoot Glacier are the crystal clear blue-green waters of Bow Lake with Num-ti-jah Lodge on its north shore. At the far end of the lake is the vast foot of Bow Glacier, the very glacier that originally carved out the Bow Valley between Banff and Lake Louise ten thousand years ago. A viewpoint and rest area provide excellent vantage points for the lake framed by Crowfoot Peak to the left and the glacier to the right.

Bonjour Raza,
Voilà une photo qui mérite bien plus que 2 sourires, très beau panorama et les couleurs sont superbes surtout le bleu du lac, je trouve un ptit penchant à l'horizon mais rien de grave.
Je remarque aussi que les nuages et/ou la brume recouvre malheureusement le sommet des montagnes, jolie balade tout de même.
